Suit by Calvin Klein

I bought this navy wool suit when we raised our first round of venture capital in 2010. When the opportunity came for Scratch to grow, I had to go out and buy a suit to match our growth plans. There are certain parts of my business that require me to be dressed down and certain parts that require me to be boardroom-ready. I call it bilingual fashion since I have to speak both languages: the boardroom and the DJ.

Shirt by Ted Baker

It’s pink with a white vertical stripe – really traditional clothing with a dose of artistic flair.

Cufflinks by Bergdorf Goodman

Our chief operating officer gave me these as a gift when we hit our 10-year anniversary. Like the shirt, they are perfect in context [of my work] because they’re in the shape of a CD.

Belt by Ben Sherman

This is black on one side and brown on the other. It’s reversible so highly functional, and has a metal buckle that rotates.

Hat from Le Mesre

I got this in Brussels. In February, I was in a mall and the first store I passed had this DJ, so I felt compelled to go into the store and support, just by buying something. It’s a grey woven wool fedora with a black band.

Shoes by Steve Madden

These are black with square tips and are leather slip-ons. At one point we were talking with Steve about launching an in-store programme so I turned up at all the meetings wearing Steve Madden shoes.
