● Bring competition to the banking sector. With the top five banks holding a market share of more than 80 per cent, the granting of new banking licences will allow new market entrants to provide greater competition in the banking sector and greater choice to potential customers.
● Trade union reform. Introduce new legislation that would ban strikes unless 50 per cent of unionised employees vote in favour of industrial action.
● Reform of childcare costs. In light of the prime minister’s desire for Britain to become the most family-friendly country in Europe, and with parents in Britain spending almost a third of their incomes on childcare, radical reform of how childcare costs are funded should be considered.
● Withdrawal from the European Convention on Human Rights. To end the tidal wave of judicial legislation being imposed upon parliament and upon British laws.
● Introduce a statutory code for victims of crime and their families which prioritises the rights of the victims above those convicted of crimes.
