Academic and business executive Leonard Schlesinger has been named president of Babson College at Wellesley, Massachusetts. He will take up the role next July, when the current president Brian Barefoot steps down.

His corporate experience spans consultancies and a series of executive roles with Limited Brands, the US retailer, where he was most recently vice-chairman and chief operating officer.
