Glasses by Sol Moscot

I bought these glasses at Sol Moscot, which is based in New York on the lower east side. I started wearing specs four years ago when I was roaming around New York and realised I couldn’t see the street signs any more. I felt they were the only ones that were elegant without making too much of an “I’m wearing glasses” statement.

Shirt by N.Hoolywood

I bought this shirt 10 days ago in Japan – where the store is much larger than the one in New York and they have more of a range – and it fits beautifully. They are a cool young company that I have bought jackets from before.

Jacket by Maison Martin Margiela

I tend to go to Maison Martin Margiela for almost everything because the quality is fantastic and the design is contemporary. I think I always end up business casual, wearing a jacket like this one with jeans; I very rarely tend to wear a full suit. I wear a tie maybe once a week, if it’s an art fair I will be smarter. In the art world I feel there is a lot more space for manoeuvre in terms of how you dress. It depends where you work, what gallery, who you are dealing with. It can vary.

Watch by Rolex

This is a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air King; I like it because I think it is very clean, very classic. It is completely durable and timeless, which is what I wanted.

Jeans by Maison Martin Margiela

These are good basic jeans, they fit very well and are very high quality. If not Maison Martin Margiela, I tend to go to Rag & Bone or Dior for jeans. I pretty much always wear grey, black or blue jeans.

Shoes by Maison Martin Margiela

I wear these black boots a lot, they are like a twist on the classic Chelsea boot. I really like the shape of the shoe and the fact that they are really solid. They work well for me because they can be both very casual and very smart. They have a copper plate around the heel, which is nice, but generally the detailing is just an added bonus.
