Amir Khan, 27, is a professional boxer and former world champion. He became the youngest British Olympic boxing medallist when he won silver at the 2004 Athens Games at the age of 17, and has since won WBA and IBF Light Welterweight titles.
Suit by Duncan Quinn
This is dark grey with a hint of blue-and-red stripe. I am British-born and a British fighter, and I like to wear British as much as possible, and to give something back. I built a community centre in Bolton [my home town] because boxing changed my life. It keeps kids off the streets and gives them discipline. When so many young kids look at you as a role model, it makes a difference to dress well.

Shirt by Duncan Quinn
I like to wear one brand from top to bottom. I’m not actually into purple but this light purple goes quite well with the suit and looks nice with my skin tone. If you dress well, you feel good, and that makes a difference in my sport. There are days when I’m in my pyjamas chilling but when I go out, I like to be dressed like this.

Tie by Duncan Quinn
This is red silk with a fleur-de-lis pattern, with the face of the Queen on the back. I do a lot of charity events – when Pakistan was hit by an earthquake, we raised more than £200,000; we built shelters, got clean water, flew out there and looked at the camps, to see if the money was being used in the right places. When you’re wearing a tie, people take your fundraising more seriously.

Pocket square by Charles Tyrwhitt
Pocket squares have only just come back in fashion. When you wear one, it gives you that feeling of being a somebody – but if you put it in scruffy, you still look like a bit of a boy.

Watch by Backes & Strauss
I treated myself to this after winning a fight. If you look into each diamond, it has hearts and arrows. I got this at Frost of London, where I get all my watches.

Sunglasses by Dolce & Gabbana
I got these at Heathrow airport when I was flying to my honeymoon. I’ve always been a big fan of D&G – their casual clothing, T-shirts and jeans.
Shoes by Gucci
I got these loafers from the Short Hills mall in New Jersey. I’m a big fan of buying different types of shoes; I must have 100 pairs. The first things a person looks at are watches and shoes, so I like to make sure my shoes are always clean and my watch is always classy.
