Chris Nuttall, Reporter - fastFT

Chris Nuttall

Chris Nuttall is a London-based reporter for fastFT, a new service from the Financial Times that provides market-moving news and views, 24-hours a day.

Before fastFT, Chris was a technology correspondent and personal tech columnist in the FT’s San Francisco bureau for nine years. He joined the FT in 2001 on FT Marketwatch - a forerunner to fastFT in its reporting of breaking market news.

Prior to joining the FT, he was at the BBC for 17 years, where he served as a foreign correspondent in Ankara, Colombo and Washington. He was World Editor at the founding of the BBC News website, before becoming the broadcaster’s first Internet Correspondent.

He won the award for telecoms reporting at the 2000 Business Journalist of the Year Awards, while at the Sunday Business newspaper, and was the senior writer on the European edition of the Industry Standard magazine.

Nuttall began his career in journalism in 1978, after graduating from University College London with a degree in English Literature.
