The Brooklyn brownstone transformed into an airtight, low-energy passive house

It may look like a street of ordinary Brooklyn brownstones, but not all is what it seems. A thermal image taken in winter reveals a row of properties glowing with fiery colours, except for one that is deep blue, showing that no heat is escaping. This is New York City’s first passive house, a strict international low-energy standard achieved using super insulation and triple-glazed windows.
