As Marina Abad, Marinah was the frontwoman of the frenetic Ojos de Brujo. Her first solo album is a similarly high-energy Barcelona bricolage of flamenco, reggae and dance: drugged dub tango from Gotan Project’s Philippe Cohen on “El Carrusel”, stuttering rap from Orishas on “Te Gustó”, and summer afternoon drift on “Iré”. Some tracks, notably “Despierto” and “Primavera Galáctica”, have their sights too firmly set on the stadium.
