Corrections - Richard Li; Mahler's Fifth Symphony

Published: May 13 2009 03:00 | Last updated: May 13 2009 03:00

* On May 12 we reported that Richard Li, chairman of PCCW, was rebuked by a judge for seeking to manipulate the outcome of a shareholder vote through a share split scheme. We also opined that Mr Li "through a business associate, gave small blocks of shares to supporters". We accept that the judge blamed third parties not Mr Li or PCCW, for the alleged manipulation. We apologise to Mr Li for the errors.

* In a review in some editions on May 12 of Mahler's Fifth Symphony at New York's Carnegie Hall, the phrase "lingering penchant for blood, sweat and sighs" was wrongly attributed to the conductor, Daniel Barenboim, instead of the composer.
