Vince Vaughn and Cobie Smulders in 'Delivery Man'

Vince Vaughn in collaboration with Owen Wilson is one thing, scamming his way into nuptial parties (The Wedding Crashers) or Google’s HQ (The Internship ). Vaughn by himself, as in Delivery Man, can be an overworked firework display: a one-man show of ill-firing jokes, fizzling double takes and misty-eyed attempts at sentimental wrap-up. This is the story of multiple sperm donor David Wozniak, previously filmed as a French-Canadian coterie hit called Starbuck. Filmmaker Ken Scott did that one too. He should know when enough is enough, unlike his hero who sired more than 500 kids and then bravely, or recklessly, surrendered his right to anonymity.
