What is The Connected Business?

Information technology is the engine that drives modern business and enables companies, big and small, to improve their performance, meet new challenges and address new business opportunities.

The Connected Business has been designed to help business leaders understand and use IT to improve their companies’ performance.

It is targeted specifically at senior managers and executives who are not techies and sometimes need help navigating the complex and often confusing world of IT.

It will explore business issues and how IT can help achieve company objectives and it will be written in plain accessible language, not technobabble.

The Connected Business aims to bridge the gap between the chief information officer and the IT department and business executives including the CEO, CFO and sales and marketing executives.

In addition to news briefs, news analysis, features, comment and guest columns, The Connected Business will feature multimedia content including video and an IT Help Desk where experts and business leaders are invited to answer a business strategy question.

There will also be a weekly technology review column which will look at hardware, software and services of particular interest to business users, mobile executives and small business owners and managers.

The Connected Business will also include a monthly special report published in the Financial Times.
