Similarly, Touaregs jostle to claim the crown of Tinariwen: a few weeks ago Tamikrest took a shot, and now Terakaft stake their claim with a set of songs about drought and fratricidal strife. Especially on ‘Talikoba’, their sound is clean and bright, letting the springy rhythms bounce out clearly.
