Suits and the City

It is Fashion Week in New York and trends are seen not only on the runways, but also on the people lining the runways. Here are some of the best looks I’m seeing on the streets and in the shows that are both fashion week as well as office appropriate
February 17 2012: Spotted at the Carlos Campos presentation at Milk Studios. Alexis Zambrano, men's jewellery designer. Alexis is wearing a Ralph Lauren suit and sweater, M. de PHOCAS pin and Tom Ford tie. When asked if he had seen any apparel this fashion week that would work for men at the office, he noted two of the looks from the Carlos Campos show, saying that they would both be good choices to wear to a meeting

February 17 2012: Spotted at the Carlos Campos presentation at Milk Studios. AJ Ojeda-Pons, sommelier. AJ is wearing a Paul Smith jacket, Hermes pocket square and belt, and Ralph Lauren bow tie. AJ says that he likes to incorporate colors into his looks whenever possible, especially reds and oranges (as seen here on both his pocket square and bow tie)

Natalie was coming from the J.Crew presentation, which she said had wearable, but glamourous pieces that could bring a sparkle into the office

He said he was coming from the Vera Wang show with his wife. I asked him if he saw anything that work for a woman to wear in the office and he said he saw a lot of items that could be worn from day to day, specifically the camel colored overcoats as well as a series of dark gray blouses
