In this week’s group of well-dressed professionals, we see custom made jackets, Tom Ford suits and Brioni shoes
May 31 2012: Spotted near Bryant Park. Gary Lawson, investment banker. Gary is wearing a Hickey Freeman bespoke suit made from Loro Piana fabric, Hermes tie, Thomas Pink shirt, Barker Black shoes, Rolex GMT watch, Tiffany & Co monogrammed belt and vintage Marine Corps cufflinks. Gary says he likes to do his shopping in the designer boutiques rather than in department stores and he comments that he likes the working button holes in this Hickey Freeman bespoke suit. Gary was in the US Marine Corps for five years, an experience that was very important to him, and his cufflinks, which were given to him by his friend, another Marine, hold a lot of sentimental value

June 1 2012: Spotted in SoHo, walking out of a lunch meeting at Cafe Kristall. Stacy Igel, founder and creative director of Boy Meets Girl and chief fashion editor of Lockerz.com. Stacy is wearing a Theory dress, Dooney & Bourke vintage bag (a hand-me-down from her husband’s grandmother), Barneys New York nude patent pumps, Comptoir des Cotonniers jacket, Cutler and Gross sunglasses, Boy Meets Girl sustainable tote bag, Melissa Joy Manning necklace, vintage tag bracelets (one with Stacy’s nickname and one with her husband, Brian’s) and a vintage ring from her mother. Stacy describes her style as a classic yet eclectic mix and she always pulls in a few vintage pieces. Stacy’s favorite places to shop? For special shoes she shops at Jeffrey New York, for vintage pieces she goes to Ina and she shops for presents as well as clothes for herself online on Lockerz.com and Asos. However, her favorite summer piece is a new Proenza Schouler dress that she bought at Barneys that she comments she has already worn to two different events styled in two different ways, as she likes to be economical with her more pricey pieces

May 31 2012: Spotted in Madison Square Park. Victoria Mukovozov, VP at a Financial Firm. Victoria is wearing a Victorine by Victorine Deych dress, Amrita Singh earrings, Ted Rossi bracelet, Elizabeth and James blazer and vintage bag and shoes. Victoria describes her personal style as wearing things that convert easily from day to night. Her dress, which doubles as a pencil skirt under her blazer during the day, actually has intricate detailing on the part hidden under the blazer, which shows sans blazer after work. During the day she dresses up and adds colorful accents to streamline basics with accessories like her earrings, shoes and bag. Victoria also typically likes to wear new designers, who she mentions she often meets socially, and in addition it is one of her favorite pastimes to discover up and coming designers via sample sales and showrooms

May 22 2012: Spotted in Midtown East. Jacob Arabo, owner and founder of Jacob & Company. Jacob is wearing a Tom Ford suit, a custom made shirt in Loro Piana fabric, Brioni shoes and Jacob & Company watch and cufflinks. Although Jacob says that right now he wears a lot of Tom Ford sports jackets and suits as well as Lanvin shoes or sneakers (often with jeans), he adds that what he wears from day to day all depends on how he feels that morning. He is not consistant in how he dresses in the same way that he is not consistant in the jewelry he makes. He does what he wants to do and 'does not believe in DNA', as he proved when he designed his first time piece, a Five Time Zone Quartz Watch, and shortly after designed the Quenttin, a watch with a 31 day power reserve. The watch that he is wearing (shown) is his H24 Five Time Zone Automatic watch, each one handed sub dial displaying a different 24 hour time zone including New York, Paris, Los Angeles and Tokyo. I asked Jacob to comment on how he thinks that professional style differs among these locations. His response? Paris and Los Angeles are more laid back than New York and Tokyo is very professional when it comes to the business world

May 21 2012: Spotted in Midtown East. Timothy Pope, consultant. Timothy is wearing a custom made shirt by his French shirt maker, a custom made jacket by his tailor and trousers from Bergdorf Goodman. Timothy adds that this is a casual dress day for him as he has no client appointments
