Buckley receives international award

Peter Buckley, professor of international business at Leeds University’s business school, has become the first professor working in a British school to be awarded the Booz Allen Hamilton Strategy and Business Eminent Scholar in Management Prize from the US Academy of Management International Management Division.
Other top academics to win the prize include CK Prahalad, strategy professor at the Ross school of business at the University of Michigan and famous for his work on the bottom of the pyramid, and Bruce Kogut, professor of strategy at Insead.
Prof Buckley is head of the Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds, which was launched in 1995 and which draws on the resources of both the business school and the the university more generally. It focuses on topics such as foreign direct investment and the internationalisation of companies and countries.
Prof Buckley will receive the award at the Academy of Management annual meeting in Anaheim, California, in August.
