This week, we are hitting the streets to investigate what some of New York’s best dressed professionals are wearing in this transitional October weather
24 October 2012: Kenny Frimpong, Brand and Lifestyle expert at Akwaaba Media Inc. Kenny is wearing all Eredi Pisano and he describes his style as sprezzatura - he likes to break the rules. For instance Kenny is wearing a cashmere double breasted jacket (classic) with a red corduroy pant (casual) and cutaway collar shirt (business), but all with sartorial fits. Nothing baggy ever, he adds

25 October 2012: Scott Morrison, Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch. Scott is wearing an Eredi Pisano suit, Allen Edmonds shoes, Baume et Mercier watch and Jonathan Ogilvy tie. Scott wears a suit and tie every day to work and prefers slim fit. He has all his suits made at Eredi Pisano. He is a loyal customer there and they take care of him throughout the year, even tailoring his pieces so they are ready as soon as the next day. What does Scott wear on the weekends? A lot of blazers, jeans and loafers and his preferred casual brand is Banana Republic
26 October 2012: Sarah Mintz, Business Development Manager at a financial firm. Sarah is wearing a red Lacoste Trench Coat, Christian Louboutin black patent pumps and Kate Spade brown leather tote bag
22 October 2012: Jessica Katz, Nutritionist (Registered Dietitian). Jessica is wearing a Theory dress, Prada leather jacket, Brunello Cucinelli necklace, Manolo Blahnik suede pumps and Celine handbag. Of her style, Jessica says that she likes to keep it simple with minimal jewelry (taking a cue from her mother, who always looks like she is coming straight from Italy) while still trying to incorporate a bit of fun or edginess, such as a classic shift dress with a bold accessory or colorful shoe. She tends to gravitate towards dresses and skirts – and heels, one of the things she missed while working in a hospital as they are not advised! Before her hospital days, Jessica worked in the fashion industry, which she said challenged and refined her sense of style, an influence which she hopes to retain going forward. How has her professional style changed since switching careers? She has to be slightly more conservative now that she works as a health professional in a medical office – she jokes that her feathered or sequin jackets might not go over so well. While Jessica says she does miss the irreplaceable daily inspiration garnered from working in the fashion industry constantly surrounded by creative individuals, she finds her sartorial inspiration in online fashion magazines and blogs

23 October 2012: J.P. Rosenbaum, Construction Management at J. Companies. J.P. is wearing a Windsor Custom by Brian Mazza suit, shirt and tie, an Urban Boulder tie clip, Cartier watch and a pocket square from The Tie Bar. J.P. says that as his day to day schedule varies, so do his outfits. If he is in meetings with developers or consultants, he will dress in a suit, while on a job site he will dress down in jeans and construction boots. His go to for suits is Windsor Custom by Brian Mazza (shown), and for day to day pieces he likes to shop at Zara, Hugo Boss and especially All Saints, where he hopes to find a new fall jacket.
