George Athanassakos is professor of finance and holds the Ben Graham Chair in value investing at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. His research includes the effect that institutional trading and analysts’ forecasts have on stock market performance.
Previously, Prof Athanassakos held various research-related positions with banking and trust companies in Canada and Greece.
He has an MA in economics, an MBA and a PhD in finance from York University in Canada.
Prof Athanassakos has published in various journals and is a guest columnist writing about investments and economic and financial topics in The Globe and Mail, Canada’s daily newspaper.
