All change at the top of French business school TEM

The game of musical chairs continues at the top of France’s business schools, with Telecom Ecole de Management, which is situated close to Paris, appointing its fourth director in less than year.
The new incumbent, Jacky Akoka, replaces Philippe Rivet, who was given the job in December 2013. He in turn replaced interim dean Emmanuel Sartorius, who took up the reins last summer when Denis Lapert retired. Prof Akoka is an internal appointment and has been an information systems professor at Telecom Ecole de Management since 1998.
Only last week it was announced that EMLyon had appointed Bernard Belletante as its director-general following the resignation of Philippe Courtier after just a year in the job. Prof Belletante himself resigned from the top job at Kedge, another French business school, in January after six months in the job.
Prof Akoka’s initial plans are to extend the school’s international footprint with the opening of overseas campuses and the integration of the school into the Paris-Saclay University.
