FT WorldWise: scoring system explained

How the scoring works (short version)

Similar to the GMAT or SAT we use an 800 point scale to represent skill level. Smarterer test questions are adaptive, and you will see easier and harder questions based on how you answer each one. Your score reflects how you rank against other people who have taken the same skill test.

How the scoring works (long version)

Similar to the GMAT or SAT we use an 800 point scale to represent skill level. Grades like “A”, “B” and “C” are so elementary school.

Smarterer test questions are adaptive, and you will see easier and harder questions based on how you answer each one. Your score reflects how you rank against other people who have taken the same skill test. You’ll be challenged, but that’s a good thing, right?

Every question is multiple choice.

Questions are timed, and the longer the question, the more time you have. But there’s no rush - how quickly you answer does not affect your score.

Smarterer users (like you) create our questions. If you see an incorrect question, flag it, so we can give it some attention.

We’ll show you a message with your numeric score as soon as we’ve identified your skill level. While you can always continue answering questions to try to improve, our mathematicians are very smart about determining your true score.
