Michael Trusov is an assistant professor of marketing at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, US. His research interests include internet marketing which covers various topics such as social media, clickstream analysis and consumer-generated content.

He received his PhD in marketing from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA in the US and also has masters degrees in both computer science and business administration. He has held various IT positions including IT development manager and programmer/ analyst.
