LoneLady
Nerve Up
Warp
The debut album from LoneLady, aka Julie Campbell from Manchester, cleverly marries catchy pop harmonies with tense, trebly post-punk guitars and a drum machine set to Joy Division.
Campbell’s vocals are stocked with gothic imagery of ghosts and solitude and sung in a skewed, PJ Harvey-esque fashion that sits entrancingly well with the terse rhythms.
