A three-country MBA programme, to be launched in 2013, will combine US business knowledge with know-how from two of the world’s fastest-growing economies, China and India.

The three participating schools, the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western University, in Cleveland in the US, the School of Economics and Management at Tongji University, in Shanghai in China, and Xavier Labour Relations Institute, in Jamshedpur in India, will each enrol 20 students on the two-year full-time programme. They will form one cohort and spend a semester together at each institution. Graduates will be awarded a single MBA degree from their home institution.

Though multi-campus programmes are relatively common-place in the more senior executive MBA (EMBA) market - MBAs for working managers - they are few and far between in the full-time MBA market. In the Financial Times ranking of full-time MBA programmes only three multi-campus programmes appear in the top 100 - Insead (ranked 6), Hult International Business School (ranked 65) and SP Jain School of Global Management (ranked 91).
