Corrections - James Baker; Mikheil Saakashvili; Peter Norman

* An article on August 13 wrongly suggested that James Baker, the former US secretary of state, might withhold endorsement of John McCain, the Republican presidential candidate. Mr Baker endorsed Mr McCain in February.

* Georgia's President Mikheil Saakashvili studied at Columbia and George Washington universities in the US, not Harvard as wrongly stated in an article on August 13.

* Peter Norman of Australia won a silver medal in the 200m at the Mexico Olympics in 1968, not bronze as wrongly stated in the Business of Sport supplement on August 8.
