A French business school plans to open a campus in the Gulf region within the next two years.

ESC Lille School of Management is currently considering Bahrain, Qatar or the United Arab Emirates as possible sites for the campus.

The education market in the Gulf region is thriving and ESC Lille is keen to both increase its recruitment and extend its partnerships in the area.

“Through its students, alumni and partners, ESC Lille has built a relationship with the Gulf region that goes back 15 years,” says Christophe Bredillet, dean of postgraduate programmes at the school.

“The economies of the Gulf are booming, international investment is on the rise and education is a top priority. A campus is the next logical step.”

ESC Lille already has partnerships with some of the leading companies in the Gulf region, such as Dassault, Total and UAE Airforce and a new campus would reinforce these, as well as allowing for new collaborations.

The school is the first institution outside the US to have its project management programmes accredited by the Project Management Instuitute, which has members in more than 125 countries. ESC Lille anticipates that the new campus will help promote its expertise in this area.
