Invisible System: The Cauldron

An overflow of every possible form of music

3 stars

Invisible System’s cauldron is overflowing with what at times feels like scraps of every possible form of music. The best thing here is “Mama Yey”, on which Sydney Salmon sings a lazy Lover’s Rock tribute to Ethiopia before the song ends with Zewditu Tadesse’s voice orbiting amid tiny pinpricks of harp. Elsewhere, “Coven” throbs with grungy guitars, and “Azmari Fuse” burns up in a blaze of rhythm.
