Love Me Till Monday is a British romcom about the woes of a Reading working girl with witchcraft tendencies. Ill-judged whimsies apart – which also include a boyfriend/ex-workmate known irritatingly just as “him” – director and co-writer Justin Hardy’s film finds a medium-beguiling border country somewhere between Mike Leigh and Ricky Gervais. The funny, cringey office scenes are very The Office. The heroine Becky’s home life with mum and bro is appealingly, Leigh-ishly upbeat-forlorn; so is Georgia Maguire’s performance.
