Suit by Ozwald Boateng

My suits are by Ozwald Boateng these days. I’ve got about five in black and six in grey. I like them because they’re very fitted and very striking. I used to go to Pal Zileri a lot and I once tried a Gucci suit but, being very tall, it just didn’t work on me. I also have long arms so I need to have my suits made to measure. Even though I work in the arts, I need to wear a suit because my clients are spending a lot of money and expect me to be well-dressed – but not boring. Ozwald’s suits have interesting details such as bright coloured linings. I’ve known Ozwald since I was 18, when I modelled in his Paris show, and we have been friends ever since.

Shirt by Ozwald Boateng

Again, I like the fact that Ozwald adds little details to his shirts but they’re still smart and slim-fitting. I’ve also bought shirts from Prada, which are very simple and elegant. My wife has been trying to get me into Prada shirts for ages and she recently bought me a fitted one in black. When I’m visiting our gallery in Paris, I’ll often shop in Lanvin or I’ll buy my casual shirts from a boutique called Stanbridge. They do great classic work shirts but also fancy patterns, which I wear with Dolce & Gabbana jeans at the weekend.

Cufflinks by Dunhill

I love cufflinks and I’ve got lots. My favourites are a Dunhill pair in silver with crocodile skin, which are very elegant, and another pair of Cartier cufflinks in plain silver that are very simple and understated.

Shoes by JM Weston

At JM Weston I get classic moccasins, which are great for wearing with jeans or casual trousers. My business shoes come from Berluti. They’re beautifully made and I have a brown pair, which look really striking with one of my grey Ozwald Boateng suits. I’ve also got a pair by Dolce & Gabbana – the leather is soft and I like the pointed style. Shoes need to be comfortable as I spend a lot of time travelling to the Opera galleries in Paris and Singapore and I’m on my feet with clients all day looking at art.

Watch by Cartier

I love vintage Rolexes and I’ve got quite a collection now. I also have a beautiful gold Piaget watch from the 1960s that my grandfather gave me. These days it’s so fragile I can only it wear on special occasions. I’ve got a sports watch by Hublot in pink gold but most of the time I wear a Cartier Roadster.
