Horváth gets fifth term at Schulich

Dezsö Horváth has been re-appointed for his fifth consecutive term as dean at the Schulich school at York University in Canada, making him one of the longest-serving deans in any North American business school.

Prof Horváth joined the Schulich school in 1976 and became dean twelve years later in 1988. He began his professional career studying electrical engineering and is one of those rare professors who has two doctoral degrees, in Prof Horváth’s case in policy and organisational behaviour.

One of the more colourful business school deans, Prof Horváth is a specialist in international business was responsible for setting up the joint executive MBA programme with the Kellogg school at Northwestern University.
