The Weatherhead school at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio, has appointed Robert Widing, currently dean of the Macquarie School in Sydney, to be its next dean. The marketing professor was an assistant professor at Weatherhead School from 1988 to 1993.
Prof Widing will succeed Mohan Reddy, who took on the job in 2006, following several years in which the school had difficulties in retaining a dean. Prof Widing has been dean at MMacquarie since 2010. He has also taught in Thunderbird in the US, know for its international outlook, and the University of Melbourne in Australia.
Prof Widing is a native of Pennsylvania and a graduate from Ohio State University.
