The Financial Times today announces changes to its Global Print and Operations department. Doug Morrow, who previously served as Global Production and Distribution Director, assumes the role of Global Operations Director of Newspapers. Mhairi Swann, who was previously in charge of operations and production of FT Business publications, becomes Global Operations Director of Magazines. Both appointments are effectively immediately and reflect two new and vital roles at the FT.

Morrow will be responsible for global printing and distribution of the newspaper. The FT currently prints five editions at 23 plants around the world and distributes to 140 countries.

Swann will be responsible for the printing and distribution of all magazines produced by the Financial Times, including How To Spend It, FT Weekend Magazine, FT Business titles, and partnership publications, in addition to paper purchasing.

Both Morrow and Swann report to Greg Zorthian, Global Circulation Director, who commented: “As the Financial Times continues to increase its reach and influence around the world, these two veterans will play integral roles in helping to build and better-serve our loyal readership. Their vast industry expertise will deliver immediate results and ensure the FT’s continued market leadership.”
