Lucozade hits the cold drinks road to China

GlaxoSmithKline is set to launch one of it best-known consumer brands in China by selling the energy drink Lucozade through a Shanghai-based partner.

The move marks a shift in strategy for the pharmaceutical group under Andrew Witty, the chief executive appointed last year, to spread risk and diversity by expanding sales of its consumer goods as well as medicines into emerging markets.
