Wall Street rallies on housing data

US stocks bounced back from last week’s lows after dollar weakness boosted energy companies and encouraging housing data reassured investors about the pace of economic recovery.

Housebuilders’ shares edged up after data showed that sales of previously owned homes in the country had risen 10.1 per cent in October.
