Scientists claim breast cancer breakthrough

Scientists have decoded the genetic evolution that takes place within an individual cancer patient, a breakthrough they say will lead to more precise diagnosis and treatment of tumours.

The project at the BC Cancer Agency in Vancouver, Canada, published in the journal Nature, gives a remarkable picture of genes mutating in a breast tumour over nine years.
