Expat workers leave US to hunt for jobs

As a business graduate from a very good university in the US, Pratik Shah had every reason to expect an easy passage into a well-paid corporate career.

But, even after applying for nearly 1,000 jobs, he will not move directly from his masters in engineering and management degree at Duke University to a position at a top financial company. Instead, he will head back to his home town of Aurangabad, near Mumbai, to search for work there.
