Lebanon ‘will keep ceasefire’ despite raid

Lebanon will strive to preserve the fragile week-old truce along its southern border in spite of the Israeli airborne commando assault against Hizbollah fighters over the weekend, Lebanese government officials said.

The raid, in the Bekaa area of north-eastern Lebanon, left one Israeli officer dead and two other commandos wounded. The attackers reportedly killed three Hizbollah fighters before escaping by helicopter.
