I have to admit that when I first saw the HTC Magic smartphone at the Global World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year, I thought it looked rather uninteresting.

But since I managed to get my hands on the US version – the T-Mobile USA myTouch 3G, which goes on sale next week – I have changed my mind.
