Hanna departure cools hopes of Cadbury bid

The surprise departure of Ken Hanna, Cadbury’s chief financial officer, has dampened hopes that the confectionery group will receive a takeover approach in the near future.

Mr Hanna, who joined Cadbury in April 2004, said he would leave the company early next year to become chairman of Inchcape, an international retailer of car brands such as Audi, BMW and Subaru.
