NBC Universal is embarking on one of the most aggressive global expansions of a programming network, as it pushes its Sci Fi television channel across the world.

By 2010, the network, which is controlled by General Electric, aims to more than treble the countries in which the Sci Fi channel is available, to 50 from the current 15.
