Philadelphia to take trans fats off menus

Philadelphia’s famously greasy cheese-steak sandwiches could become healthier this year after the city council unanimously approved on Thursday a ban on artery-clogging trans fats in restaurants.

If signed into law by John Street, the mayor, the legislation would make Philadelphia the second trans fat-free city in the US, after New York, which agreed a ban in December.
