Sweden lifts rates seventh time in 13 months

By Reuters Thurs 15 Feb 08:33

Sweden’s central bank raised its key repo rate on Thursday by 25 basis points to 3.25 per cent, the highest level since mid-2003, and said there may be only one more tightening to come over the next six months.

“The Riksbank’s current assessment is that a well-balanced monetary policy involves raising the repo rate by a further 0.25 percentage points now and then by a further 0.25 percentage points during the coming six months,” the central bank said in a statement.
