Aer Lingus faces potential cost cuts

Dermot Mannion, chief executive of Aer Lingus, has warned that the Irish airline must undertake “fundamental change” in order to minimise a “potential €100m [£82m, $145m] operating loss in 2009”.

The airline is preparing another round of restructuring as it heads into two years of potentially heavy losses.
