Temasek eyes Western finance groups

Temasek Holdings, the Singapore state investment company, is prepared to invest more in western financial groups in spite of paper losses on stakes in Merrill Lynch and Barclays, S. Dhanabalan, Temasek chairman, said on Thursday.

“If there’s an opportunity, we would like to look at it. Whether we do it depends on our assessment and risk diversification,” he said.
