Tate & Lyle lists on US Aim rival

Tate & Lyle, the sugar and sweetener group, on Tuesday became the first British company to list on a new American quotation platform, offered last month by the Pink Sheets, which allows companies to escape onerous Sarbanes-Oxley compliance rules.

The move is another sign of how US exchange operators are trying to copy the success of London’s Aim junior board, which has attracted listings by offering a lightly regulated rule book.
