D Post ends co-operation talks with UPS

Deutsche Post DHL has abandoned plans to enlist United Parcel Service to help with its troubled US operations, bringing to an end co-operation talks between two of the world’s biggest logistics companies.

Deutsche Post is also to shut its DHL hub in the US – putting thousands of jobs at risk – and move to a smaller site as a consequence of its decision to curtail most of its US express business to stem years of losses.
