Frankfurt has long been a city that is easy to travel to and from. It is one of Germany’s six largest urban areas and motorways and rail lines radiate out in all directions. It is on the inland waterway from the North Sea to the Black Sea, via a canal between the Main and the Danube. And a short train ride takes the traveller from the city centre to one of Europe’s largest airports.
For those who can afford it, travel could be even quicker in future, with journey time from city centre to business jet seat of less than half an hour.
