Société Générale has drafted in a prominent French retailer to spearhead the group’s international growth.

France’s second-largest bank, behind BNP Paribas, said Bernardo Sanchez Incera, until this week chief executive of the Monoprix supermarket chain, would become deputy chief executive at the end of the year.
