Sir, Fred Bergsten urges President Barack Obama to act quickly to revive the global trading system (“Obama needs to be bold on trade”, June 24). But his proposals for the Obama administration amount to little more than pressing on with an agenda of freer trade for the world, including completion of the Doha round in the World Trade Organisation.
