Managers stand firmly by asset class

Private equity may not seem the investment of choice in a climate where numerous financial deals have fallen through, banks have reined back lending and company growth prospects are looking bleak.

But portfolio managers are standing firmly by this asset class, convinced there are still good opportunities to be found. Most still have between 5 and 15 per cent of their clients’ portfolios allocated to private equity and are seeking more money to pump into the sector.
