Serbian leader calls for a new 'Dayton' on Kosovo conflict

Svetozar Marovic, the president of Serbia and Montenegro, has proposed "an international conference on the scale of Dayton" to resolve the conflict over Kosovo, Serbia's breakaway province.

The call for high-level peace talks similar to those held in 1995 in Dayton, Ohio, that led to the peaceful partition of Bosnia, lends weight to suggestions that similar post-war remedies may be effective for the south Serbian province.
