Finra warns on leveraged ETFs

Leveraged and inverse exchange traded funds are under threat in the US as regulators have effectively ruled out their sale to retail investors.

“Inverse and leveraged ETFs typically are not suitable for retail investors who plan to hold them for more than one trading session,” said a notice from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the largest independent regulator for US securities companies.
